USCAA Players of the Week 9/28 - 10/4
Men's Soccer:
Se-Eun Park is the men's soccer player of the week. He is a senior forward at Washington Adventist University. Se-Eun had an incredible week recording 10 points for his team. In the three game span, he was responsible for eight goals and two assists.
Luis Caro is the men's soccer goalie of the week. He is a freshman Washington Adventist University. Luis recorded 22 saves in a three game span this week. He played a big part in leading his team to two victories this week over Chowan and Gallaudet.
Women's Soccer:
Megan Gold is the women's soccer player of the week. She is a freshman midfielder at Warren Wilson College. Megan scored two goals and recorded one assist in a big win against NAIA opponent Pikeville College.
Monique Moore is the women's soccer goalie of the week. She is a freshman at the University of Maine-Augusta. Monique has led the nation the past three weeks in save percentage. She turned aside 25 shots against Southern Maine Community College in a double overtime scoreless tie in which her team fielded nine players. Last Friday, she stopped 18 shots in an overtime 2-2 tie at No. 3 NHTI. Additionally, this past Saturday, she had another 22 saves in a 1-0 loss to Vermont Tech.
Volleyball:
Kelley Koons is the volleyball player of the week. She is a senior middle hitter from UC Clermont. Kelley helped UC Clermont record three wins during the week, improving their record to 15-1. Her weeks numbers include 40 kills with a .380 hitting percentage, aces, 18 digs, and 7 blocks.
Josie Ratliff is the volleyball setter of the week. She is a junior from Florida College. Josie had 29 assists during a 3-0 win against Brevard Community College, and followed that with an 18 assist game against Florida Christian College.
Cross Country:
Greg Pivarunas is the men's cross country runner of the week. He is a senior from The University of Dallas. Greg ran a 27:43 this week in the 8K, leading to a 16th place finish. The time was the best of his career, and places him 5th in the UD record books.
Jessica Jones is the women's cross country runner of the week. She is a freshman from Florida College. Jessica ran a 23:17 at the Florida Runners Invitational 5K, placing 68th.
Golf:
Adam Stawski is the co-golfer of the week. He is a freshman from Penn State New Kensington. Adam scored a four under par 68 to win the Penn State Greater Allegheny Invitational. Stawski set the school record for lowest score by three strokes.
Mike Tedsiche is the co-golfer of the week. He is a freshman from Central Maine Community College. Mike shot a 2 over par 74 to lead the field at the YSCAA Golf Medalists.
HONORABLE MENTION
Men's Soccer
Tim Harbilas-The freshman midfielder from NHTI scored two goals in leading his team to a 7-1 victory over Northern Maine Community College.
Women's Soccer
Lauren Browning- The freshman goal keeper from Judson College made six saves to record her first shut out win of the season.
Kendra Heim- The freshman from Southern Virginia University recorded a goal and three assists in this weeks victory over Christendom College.
Christina Carter- The freshman midfielder from Judson College recorded three goals in a victory over Copiah-Lincoln.
Volleyball
Stacy Theobald - The freshman from Penn State Scranton led her team to the first win of the season with 17 kills and 13 aces against Pen State Greater Alleghany.
Sarah Kendrick- The sophomore from Judson College helped her team by playing several positions in a match this week against Stillman College.
Cross Country
Stephen Rouse - The senior from Florida College led his team to a fourth place finish at the Florida Runners Individual 5k, setting a personal record of 16:54.
