Players of the Week
Men's Basketball Division I:
Pete Trgovich is this week's Division I men's basketball player of the week. Pete is a senior shooting guard at Indiana University Northwest. In the Kettle Classic, the senior had two standout games against East West University and Purdue University Calumet. In the team's first match against East West University, he posted 36 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. The following night against Purdue University Calumet, he recorded 29 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in a 88-87 victory.
Men's Basketball Division II:
Matt Cloutier is this week's Division II men's basketball player of the week. Cloutier is a freshman guard at NHTI. His week was highlighted by a successful performance from behind the arc. In a game against Apprentice School, the freshman hit five three pointers and racked up 22 total points to lead his team.
Women's Basketball:
Latoya Gipson is this week's women's basketball player of the week. Latoya is a junior forward at Robert Morris University-Springfield. At the Rhema Bible College Classic, Gipson turned in three dominating performances to lead her team to the tournament championship. In the three games, she averaged 22.6 points and 14.3 rebounds. She was named tournament MVP for her efforts.
Honorable Mention:
Men's Basketball Division I:
Jeff Pritchard is the Division I Men's Basketball honorable mention player of the week. Pritchard is a senior point guard at the University of Dallas. In a game against SVU, the senior led his team with 17 points, while snagging 6 rebounds.
Women's Basketball:
Sharon Houston is the women's basketball honorable mention player of the week. Houston is a sophomore forward at Indiana University. She recorded 23 points, 18 rebounds, and five blocks in a Northwest game versus Grace College.
