Following round one on Monday, Rochester College (Rochester
Hills, MI) had once again put itself in contention for the
Championship, with their top five each scoring in the
70’s. The Warriors of Rochester were coming off
back-to-back championships and looking for a three-peat.
However, Lindenwood -Belleville, who finished runner up in
2010, was only one stroke off of first place after day
one.
In the finals Lindenwood blew the field away, shooting 22 strokes better than second place Rochester and the third place Apprentice School, each who shot 316. The Lynx of Lindenwood - Belleville were led by Bo Cook who carded a three-under 69, to go even for the tournament after a three over 75 on day one. Close behind him were teammates Brett DeNap (149 total), Justin Robinson (150 total), and Tim Littlejohn (156 total), each of whom contributed to two day team score of 597.
Lindenwood now takes the early lead in the USCAA Directors Cup, awarded to the institution who excels in a wide variety of sports at USCAA Championship events. The Lynx are also currently in the top 15 in men’s and women’s soccer, and volleyball and stand a chance at making each of those championships.
