Championship Game
Talladega College (65) vs. Southern Virginia University (56)
Saturday, March 6, 2010 - 9 p.m.
In the last Championship match-up of the evening, top seeded Talladega took on the Southern Virginia Knights in what proved to be a fantastic Championship game. From start to finish, the Southern Virginia Knights gave the defending Champions Talladega all they could handle for the first 35 minutes of play. Then, in the final five minutes Talladega was able to pull away to secure the title.
Phil Wood, the Tournament MVP, carried Talladega for most of the game hitting clutch shots down the stretch to secure the win for the Tornados. Wood turned in 40 minutes of play, contributing 17 points, nine rebounds and four assists for the Champions. Also turning in an impressive performance for the Tornado's was Kenny Irby, who added 23 points and nine rebounds. SVU was led by Bryce Pendleton, an All-Tournament Team selection, who capped off a terrific tournament performance with 15 points in the loss.
Talladega's men's team joined the women's team to sweep the Division I Men's and Women's National Championships.
The Championship capped off a terrific performance this year for the Tornadoes, who defeated NCAA Division I opponent Southern University 86-84 earlier in the year.

Rochester College (69) vs. Oakwood University (78)
Saturday, Mach 6, 2010 - 7 p.m.
In the third place consolation game, Oakwood (2-1) used an electric atmosphere and fantastic play from Landon Bertrum to upend Rochester College (1-2), 78-69.
Oakwood University supplied plenty of fans, as their supporters came out in droves and added a home court atmosphere. Landon Bertrum responded to the support, scoring a team high 23 points and 14 rebounds. Kareem Telesford added 15 points and seven rebounds.
Adrian Schaffer II carried Rochester College, as the All-American impressed with 19 points and six rebounds. Marque Ewell added 17 points for Rochester.
Marygrove College (71) vs. Northern New Mexico (68)
Saturday, March 6, 2010 - 4 p.m.
In a game that came down to the last possession, Eric Benedick's potential game tying three came up short as Marygrove College escaped with a victory, 71-68.
Marygrove was led by another strong game from Justin McKinney, who had 21 points and 13 rebounds. Eric Johnson added 20 points and seven rebounds to the cause. Marygrove will finish fifth in the USCAA Tournament with a 2-1 record.
Northern New Mexico (1-2) got another strong game from guard Billy Grayson, who finished wth 19 points and four assists.
Northern New Mexico (85) vs. Hiwassee College (81)
Friday, March 5, 2010 - 4 p.m.
All-American Billy Grayson's impressive shooting display helped Northern New Mexico earn a win over Hiwassee College in the consolation bracket, 85-81.
Grayson dropped 29 points on 10 of 16 shooting, including five threes. After Hiwassee All-American Adrian McLaurin missed a potential game tying three, Grayson clinched the victory with a foul shot with two seconds left.
Northern New Mexico will advance to play Marygrove College in the fifth place consolation game at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Adrian McLaurin, who dueld back in forth with Grayson throughout the contest, finished with 33 points and 19 rebounds.
Marygrove College (77) vs. Robert Morris University-Springfield (72)
Friday, March 5, 2010 - 2 p.m.
In the consolation bracket, Marygrove used a strong shooting night and a near triple-double from Honorable Mention All-American Justin McKinney to outscore RMU Springfield, 77-72.
The Marygrove Mustangs, who lead by six at the half, held off several RMU Springfield rallies to take the win. McKinney contributed 21 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists for the Mustangs, who had four players in double figures.
Marygrove will advance to play the winner of Hiwassee College and Northen New Mexico on Saturday.
Robert Morris University-Springfield also had four players in double figures, with All-American Ephrem Davis contributing 21 points and seven rebounds.
Southern Virginia (73) vs. Rochester College(63)
Friday, March 5, 2010 - 12 p.m.
#2 Rochester and #3 Southern Virginia met Friday in the second
Men’s Division I Semifinal Game to determine who would get
the chance to play defending Champion Talladega in the 2010 USCAA
Division I National Championship Game. A strong performance by
Rochester put them ahead 29-25 at the half.
Unfortunately for Rochester, the Southern Virginia team that
showed up for the second half was nearly automatic from behind the
arc. Riding the momentum of 8 second half three pointers, SVU was
able to silence Rochester and walk away with a 73-63 victory.
Leading the SVU scoring attack was Bryce Pendleton who recorded 22
points and eight rebounds in the win. Marques Ewell of Rochester
led all scorers with 25 in the loss.
Southern Virginia (2-0) will move on to face Talladega (2-0)
tomorrow night at 9 p.m. to decide the 2010 Champion. The game will
be broadcast live on the YouCastr website. Rochester (1-1) will face
Oakwood (1-1) in a battle for third place.

Talladega College (76) vs. Oakwood College (68)
Friday, March 5, 2010 - 10 a.m.
The first Men’s Division I Semifinal took place this
morning at 10 a.m. in
the Main Arena between #1 Talladega College and #4 Oakwood
College. Talladega, the defending USCAA Champions, rolled through
the first half taking a 38-28 lead into the halftime break.
Halftime, however, was able to buy Oakwood much needed time. Just
before the start of the second half, a large spirited group of
Oakwood fans showed up, all but eliminating Talladega’s
advantage.
As the second half unfolded, Oakwood was able to climb back within
one point of Talladega, before Kerry Harvis settled in and took
control of the game. Harvis posted 19 points and six assists in the
game to close the door on the opportunistic Oakwood team
76-68.
Oakwood was led by Landon Bertram who had a solid double-double,
scoring 23 points and hauling in 14 rebounds.
This now marks the third time this season that Oakwood has lost to
Talladega.
Talladega will advance to the finals where they will have the chance to defend their title against the winner of the Rochester/SVU game. The Championship game will be broadcast live on the YouCastr website at 9 p.m. Saturday night. Oakwood will drop into the third place game.

Rochester College (73) vs. Northern New Mexico College (57)

The fourth and final quarterfinal matchup in Men’s
Division I pitted #7 Northern New Mexico College versus #2
Rochester College. In a very physical matchup, Rochester was able
to rely on consistency and balance to grind out a 73-57 victory
over the Eagles.
All-American Adrian Schaffer tallied 28 points and eight rebounds
for Rochester in the win. Billy Grayson led Northern New Mexico
with 23 points.
Rochester (1-0) will face Southern Virginia (1-0) tomorrow in the
semifinals at 12 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the YouCastr website. Northern New Mexico (0-1)
will move into the consolation bracket and face Hiwassee (0-1)
Friday at 5 p.m.
Southern Virginia University (89) vs. Hiwassee College (79)
Thursday, March 4, 2010 - 12:00 p.m.
The third quarterfinal of the Men’s Division I Tournament
featured #3 Southern Virginia vs. # 6 Hiwassee College. For most of
the game Hiawassee hung tight, but in the end Southern Virginia was
too much posting a 89-79 victory over the Tigers.
Ade Swann led SVU with 24 points and nine assists while Casey Nye
chipped in 19 points in 24 minutes. Nick Hudson of Hiwassee led all
scorers with 29 in the loss.
SVU (1-0) moves into the semifinals to play the winner of the
Rochester/Northern New Mexico matchup Friday at 12 p.m. The game
will be broadcast live on the YouCastr website. Hiwassee (0-1) will play
Friday at 4 p.m.
Oakwood College (66) vs. Robert Morris University -Springfield (41)
Thursday, March 4, 2010 - 10:00 a.m.
In the second Division I match of the day, #4 Oakwood took on #5 Robert Morris-Springfield. From start to finish, Oakwood was able to control the tempo of the game by dominating the boards, outrebounding the Eagles 59-30. By the time the buzzer sounded at the end of the second half, Oakwood had already secured a spot in the semifinals defeating the RMU Eagles 66-41.
Oakwood was led by James Doggette who recorded 14 points and seven rebounds. All-American Ephrem Davis led all scorers with 15 in the loss for the Eagles.
Oakwood (1-0) will move on to the semifinals to face Talladega
(1-0) Friday morning at 10 a.m. This game will be b

(0-1) will face Marygrove (0-1) in the consolation bracket Friday

Talladega College (88) vs. Marygrove College (53)
Thursday, March 4, 2010 - 8:00 a.m.
The Men's Division I Championships tipped off this morning with the defending champion Talladega Tornado's taking on the Mustangs of Marygrove College. Living up to their number one seed, Talladega never trailed in route to an 88-53 victory over the Mustangs.
Talladega was led by All-American Kerry Harvis, who turned in a stellar first half performance for the Tornadoes, going 3-3 from beyond the arc and posting 15 points. Harvis finished the game with 17 points and four assists. The difference in the game ultimately came from behind the arc with Talladega managing to shoot 9-22, while Marygrove only hit two of their 16 attempts. Eric Johnson of the Mustangs led all scorers with 19 points in the loss.
Talladega (1-0) will move on to the semifinals to face the winner of the Oakwood/Robert Morris-Springfield game at 10 a.m. The game will be broadcast live on the YouCastr website. Marygrove (0-1) drops into the consolation bracket and will play Friday at 2 p.m.
