Concordia College Selma - Back to Back Women's Basketball National Champions
BROKEN ARROW, OKLA. -- Tournament MVP Santana Seay scored 29 points and hauled in eight rebounds, while All-Tournament selection Deshawn Butler added 10 points and 10 rebounds as Concordia-Selma defeated Philander Smith 65-60 to repeat as USCAA National Champions on Saturday night.
Concordia hit 51.1% from the field for the game (23-of-45) while holding Philander Smith to 21-of-60 from the floor (35%). The Lady Hornets defeated Southern Virginia in the 2007 championship game and knocked them off in the semifinals to advance to the title game.
Philander Smith was paced by All-Tournament selection Chloe Williams with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Meisha Williams added 14 and Brianna Austin scored 12 for the Lady Panthers who trailed 25-21 at halftime.
