Mike Fischer was elected to the USCAA Board of Directors in July 2015 and named President in July 2016. Fischer is the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs at Great Bay Community College and spearheaded the college’s decision to join the USCAA in 2014. Speaking about his appoint to the Board of Directors Fischer stated, “It is an honor and privilege to be elected to the USCAA Board of Directors. The USCAA is a special organization that provides small colleges like Great Bay Community College the opportunity to compete against like institutions and provides our student athletes with an opportunity to participate in National Championships.”
Fischer was hired at Great Bay Community College in 2008. In his role at Great Bay, Fischer is responsible for non-academic student program including mentor programs, student leadership development, athletics, orientation and student life. Fischer has also served as Dean of Students at Hesser College and as Athletic Director and Men’s Basketball Coach at Notre Dame College.
Fischer graduated from Springfield College with a B.S. in Human Services. He later completed his M.A. in Teaching and Learning from Kaplan University.
