Co-Player of the Week
Kasey Byrd, a freshman guard from Rhema Bible College, is the Division I Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week. Byrd helped lead the Eagles to three straight victories this week. During that span Byrd averaged 19.6 points, shot 41 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the arc
Co-Player of the Week
Dylan Fugate, a junior guard from Ave Maria University is the Division I Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week. Fugate highlighted the week with 29 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists barely edging out a victory in overtime against #22 NAIA Warner University. In that game Fugate was a perfect 3 for 3 from beyond the arc. And shot 82 percent from the field.
Men’s Basketball DII
Player of the Week
Ahntwan Harris, a senior forward from NHTI is the Division II Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Harris averaged 22.3 ppg and 8 rebounds over three games this week. Ahntwan led the Lynx to 3 victories this week highlighted by a 26 point, 11 rebound performance against rival Central Maine Community College.
Women’s Basketball
Player of the Week
Nicole Baker, a senior forward from Southern Virginia University is the Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. In two games this week Baker shot a remarkable 75 percent from the field and 92 percent from the charity stripe. Baker also led the Lady Knights with 28.5 points per game and 11 rebounds per game on the week.
Wrestling
Wrestler of the Week
Kyle Sunseri, a freshman wrestler from the Penn College is the USCAA wrestler of the week. Sunseri went 2-0 on the week recording two pins. Against PSU Fayette, Sunseri pinned Mhye Brown at 4:06 and against Thaddeus Stevens pinned Albert Helmig at 1:25. Sunseri is 6-5 on the year with a total of four pins.
