Men’s Soccer
Player of the Week
Stefan Zalucky, a sophomore Forward at University of Maine—Machias is the Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. Zalucky helped carry the Clippers to a 3-0 week and a 3-0 record in the Yankee Conference by recording two hat tricks against Central Maine Community College and Unity College.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Zach Hardyman, a junior from Southern State Community College is the Goalkeeper of the Week. Zach played all 270 minutes over 3 games this week, recording two shutouts in Southern State’s 3-0 week. Zach recorded 4 saves versus USCAA opponent Valor Christian College, 7 saves versus WVU-Parkersburg, and 6 saves versus Kentucky Christian.
Women’s Soccer
Player of the Week
Jenn Lola, a sophomore Striker from University of Maine—Augusta is the Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. Jenn scored four goals over two games this week. Coming off a torn tendon in her thumb, Jenn has played this season with a cast on her arm for the Lady Moose.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Courtney Ross, a freshman Goalie at University of Maine-Machias is the Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week. Courtney recorded two shutouts this week leading the Clippers to a 2-0 record of the week. Ross had six saves during her two shutouts.
Volleyball
Player of the Week
Emily Randazzo, a freshman Outside Hitter at Lindenwood University-Belleville is the Volleyball Player of the Week. Emily led her team to a 3-1 record this weekend at the Marygrove University tournament. Randazzo was named the Tournament MVP after recording three double doubles and totaling 44 digs and 45 kills on the week.
Setter of the Week
Ally Junge, a freshman Setter at Lindenwood University-Belleville is the Volleyball Setter of the Week. Ally is part of a 6-2 offense and in four matches she had 71 assists, 11 kills, 34 digs, and 3 aces.
Men’s Cross Country
Runner of the Week
Abram Deng, a junior at Spalding University, is the Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Abram finished 46th out of 190 runners at the Vanderbilt Invitational 2011 which featured runners from Vanderbilt, Cincinnati, Alabama, and Marshall among others. Abram finished with an 8k run time of 26:45:30.
Women’s Cross Country
Runner of the Week
Tori Faulkner, a freshman at Southern Virginia University, is the Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. At the Berea College Invitational, Tori placed 3rd overall in a field of 88 helping her team finish 2nd overall. Tori finished with a time of 20:03 in the 5k race.
Co-Ed Golf
Corey Teeple, a freshman at Penn College, is the Co-Ed Golf Player of the Week. This past week Corey shot a 74 to help the Wildcats win the PSU Mont Alto Invitational in their season opener. Teeple topped all 21 golfers in attendance in his first ever match.
