2015 USCAA Volleyball National Championship Field and Seeding Announcement

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has announced the teams that will compete for the 2015 Volleyball National Championship in Canton, New York. The tournament will take place from Thursday, November 5th to Saturday, November 7th. The two-pool field will consist of five teams in each pool, with four teams from each pool advancing to the single elimination bracket.

The defending National Champion, Florida College, earned the overall number one seed in the tournament after finishing the season with a record of 23-5. They will sit on top Pool A and be joined by the fourth seeded Lady Pioneers from Alfred State College (22-4) and fifth-seeded St. Mary of the Woods College (14-14). The Pomeroys from St. Mary of the Woods will be making their first appearance in the tournament.

The Penn State University Athletic Conference Champion Penn State Brandywine (30-3) joins Pool A, and will take on Florida College in their opening match on November 5th. The Lady Lions went 16-0 in conference play this and have only dropped one set since September 24th. The final team in Pool A will be University of Maine Fort Kent (21-7), also making their first appearance in the Volleyball National Championship.

The host and overall number two seed SUNY Canton (23-7) will be the top team in Pool B. They will compete against Rochester College (20-20), Berea College (15-13), Carlow University (15-13), and NHTI (16-8). The Lady Warriors from Rochester College will take on the Yankee Small College Conference champion NHTI. Making their second consecutive appearance in the tournament, Berea College has faced three USCAA teams that will also be in Canton, including pool mate Carlow University. The Celtics from Carlow have faced four of the teams that will be at the 2015 USCAA Volleyball National Championship.
