USCAA Players of the Week 10/07 - 10/13
Men's Soccer:
Francisco Osegueda is the men's soccer player of the week. He is a senior forward at Southern Virginia University. Francisco helped his team go 2-0 this week by contributing three goals in the first half, and getting the assist on the winning goal. Francisco is SVU's leading scorer
Steve McCune is the men's soccer goalie of the week. He is a senior from Rochester College. Steve helped his team immensely by contributing two shutouts in two games, in wins over Bluffton University and Kuyper College.
Women's Soccer:
Melissa Carpenter is the women's soccer player of the week. She is a freshman forward at the University of Dallas. In two games, Melissa scored two goals and assisted on four others while going 2-0 during the week.
Serena Quillin is the women's soccer goalie of the week. She is a freshman at NHTI. Serena saved all 16 shots on goal versus Hudson Valley Community College as the Lynx finished in a scoreless overtime tie.
Volleyball:
Kerri Taylor is the volleyball player of the week. She is a freshman from Florida College. Kerri had 94 kills during a weekend tournament at Clearwater Christian College, in which her team went 3-2.
Bea Anderson is the volleyball setter of the week. She is a freshman from Talladega College. Bea had 98 assists last week in wins over Judson College, Miles College, and Oakwood College. Bea also had 27 digs during the week.
Cross Country:
Greg Pivarunus is the men's cross country runner of the week for the second straight week. He is a senior from The University of Dallas. Greg ran a 29:29 this week in the 8K, leading to a 3rd place finish at his teams invitational.
Angela Cuba is the women's cross country runner of the week. She is a senior from The University of Dallas. Angela ran a 27:41 at their invitational for a third place finish to help her team finish in third place.
Golf:
The USCAA Golf National Championship Information will be available tomorrow.
HONORABLE MENTION
Men's Soccer
Brandon Jackson-The Junior forward from Lindenwood-Belleville scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Danville Area CC.
Women's Soccer
Dannielle Panuccio - The freshman from Washington Adventist had two goals against Gallaudet University this week.
Volleyball
Danielle Fuehs - The sophomore from The University of Dallas was named to the All-Tournament team at the Worthington Classic, highlighted by 50 kills.
