USCAA Players of the Week

Newport News, VA. - The USCAA wants to congratulate and celebrate its student athletes' accomplishments.  We are proud to announce the following Players of the Week for the week of January 26^th-February 1^st.

Men's Basketball (Division I)

• - Player of the Week- Adrian Schaffer, Rochester College, G, Jr., Rochester, MI- Shaffer led the Warriors to a 2-0 week. The junior guard netter 19 points and grabbed nine boards in a victory over Kuyper College. In a USCAA showdown against tenth ranked, Marygrove, he posted 29 points and hauled in eight rebounds.

Men's Basketball (Division II)

• - Player of the Week- Justin Reed, PSU-New Kensington, G, Fr., Moween, PA- Reed averaged 29 points in two contests against PSUAC opponents PSU-Beaver and PSU-DuBois. He also averaged seven and a half rebounds in the two games.

Women's Basketball

• - Co-Player of the Week- Valleri West, Apprentice School, F, So., Hampton, VA- West led the Lady Builders to two victories of USCAA top 20 opponents. The sophomore forward posted a career-high with 31 points in a win over St. Joseph's. In her next outing she recorded a double-double in a victory over Briarcliffe. West posted 17 points and 10 rebounds.

• - Co Player of the Week- Jasmine Green, PSU-Beaver, G, So., Allentown, PA- Green recorded the first triple-double in PSU-Beaver, Women's Basketball history. The sophomore scored 20 points, grabbed 12 boards and dished 10 assists in a victory over USCAA top 25 PSU-Greater Allegheny. Her record making performance was followed by a 17 point, six assist and four steal night in a win over PSUAC opponent PSU-York.
