Baseball
Player of the Week- Jonathan Dehoux - Apprentice School, 1B, Jr., Mathews, VA- Dehoux went 11-for-17 (.643) this week. The Builders' first baseman knocked in 12 runs and crossed the plate six times. The junior belted three doubles and a home run to end the week with a 1.000 slugging percentage. Dehoux broke the Apprentice School single season RBI record with 10 regular season games remaining.
Pitcher of the Week- Greg Frederick- PSU-Beaver, P, Jr., Sewickley, PA- Frederick recorded 13 strikeouts while giving up one earned run in a seven inning outing against USCAA Defending National Champion, Columbia Union. PSU Beaver went on to beat the Pioneers 3-2.
Softball
Player of the Week- Jenifer Edsall - PSU-Hazelton, OF, Fr., Honesdale, PA- Edsall hit .700 (7-for-10) over a four game stretch. She had eight RBI, five runs scored, a double, a triple and a home run. Edsall's home run was a grand slam.
Pitcher of the Week- Alyson Chiaramonte - St. Joseph's, P, Fr., Staten Island, NY- Chiaramonte went 1-1 on the week as she threw two complete games. She struck out 18 while allowing one earned run on six hits.
