USCAA Players of the Week

Newport News, VA. - The USCAA wants to congratulate and celebrate its student athletes’ accomplishments. We are proud to announce the following Players of the Week for the week of January 5th-11th.

Men's Basketball (Division I)

  • - Player of the Week- Arthur Latham, St. Catherine, F, Jr., Radcliff, KY- Latham posted 24 points in a loss to Cumberland University. The junior led his team past Berea as he poured in 29 points and added six rebounds.

 

Men's Basketball (Division II)

  • - Player of the Week- Ian Gordon, UC-Clermont, F, Fr., Cincinnati, OH- Gordon scored 17 points, 19 points and 35 points in the Cougars three contests this week. The freshman forward also added 11 rebounds for a double-double against USCAA opponent Southern State.

Women's Basketball

  • - Player of the Week- Sharon Houston, Indiana University-Northwest, F,Fr.,     Merrillville, IN- Houston recorded career highs with 38 points and 23 rebounds in a win over Kuyper College.  She also added nine blocks, falling one shy of a triple-double.  The Lady RedHawks' freshman followed up that stellar performance with 25 points, 20 rebounds and five blocks as she led her team to a win over Grace Bible.
