Penn College Leads After Round One Of USCAA Golf National Invitational
STATE COLLEGE, PA. - Penn College, with all four scoring golfers recording either a 76 or a 77, shot a 305 on Monday to hold an 18-shot lead after round one of the 2008 US Collegiate Athletic Association National Invitational at the Penn State University Blue Course.
Craig Flint, Len Nichols and TC Reynolds are currently tied for second with four-over-par-76's to trail Apprentice School freshman Chris Martin who leads with a 74. Eric Schall is tied with Jase Armstrong and Matt Miller of Penn State New Kensington each with a 77.
A group of five teams all are within six shots of each other heading into Tuesday's 9 am shotgun start of the final round. Penn State New Kensington is currently in second with a 323, followed by Penn State Wilkes-Barre (325), Apprentice School (328), Penn State Abington and Penn State Hazleton (329).
