National Champions start off with 62-52 win over Bennett
BROKEN ARROW, OKLA. -- Santana Seay scored 27 points and had 12 rebounds to lead three in double figures for Concordia-Selma as the defending USCAA Women's National Champions opened defense of their title with a 62-52 win over Bennett College on Thursday.
Deshawn Butler added 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Eras Derin Aras added 11 for Concordia who advances to a rematch of the 2007 USCAA National Championship game to face top-seeded Southern Virginia University at 6 pm Friday.
ShaRhonda LaBoard scored 20 points with 11 rebounds to lead Bennett who will face Briarcliffe on Friday at noon.
