Game 12- Championship
UC Clermont Wins Title
Stefan Dunn (Columbus, OH) scored 24 points as University of
Cincinnati Clermont beat Penn State DuBois, 81-72, in the
Championship game of the USCAA National Tournament. Dunn was
named MVP of the Tournament. Allen Robinson (Cincinnati, OH)
was named to the All-Tournamnet team who finished with 19
points and 6 rebounds. For Penn State DuBois, Marcus Genevro
(St. Marys, PA) and Jonny Songer (Emporium, PA) each had 18
points. Kevin Genevor (St. Mary's, PA) added 17 points and was
named to the All-Tournament. Kyle Vogt (Emporium, PA) was also
named to the All-Tournment team for Penn State. UCC ends the
season at 28-10 and Penn State at 21-7.
Game 11-3rd Place Game
Hesser College Comes From Behind to Win
The Hesser College Blue Devils came from behind with 2 minutes
left to beat Southern Maine Community College 77-74 and
finished the Tournament in 3rd place. Harold Reynoso
(Lawrence, MA) led the way with 21 points and was named to the
All-Tournament Team. James Liebowitz (China, ME) led the
Seawolves with 17 points and was named to the All-Tournament
team. Mike Worster (Rockland, ME) added 13 points for SMCC who
finished the season at 21-11.
Game 10-5th Place Game
Taylor Fort Wayne Finished in 5th place
Taylor University at Fort Wayne (IN) used a balance scoring
attack to beat Penn State Beaver 74-69 and finish in 5th place
of the USCAA National Tournament. The Falcons were led by
Montrell Hogue (Wanye, IN) with 17 points and Rich Thomas
(Houston, TX) and Ryan Howat (Francesville, IN) had 15 points
apiece. Taylor finished the season at 16-15. Zach Fatchin
(Aliquippa, PA) led Penn Sate Beaver with 23 points and 7
rebounds. The Lions finished the season 27-11.
Game 9-7th Place Game
St. Joe's Gets Win
Mike Donnelly scored 27 points as the St. Joseph's College
(NY) beat New Hampshire Technical Institute 85-77 and finish
in 7th place of the USCAA Tournament. Ervin Maddox, Mike
Dziewit, and Chris Olaskiewicz all added 15 points. For NHTI,
Chris Lawes (Peterborough, NH) tallied 23 points and five
assists. The Bears finished the season at 21-11 and NHTI
finishes at 19-10.
