Day Two of the 2006 USCAA National
Invitational Baseball Tournament is complete with the
following games having been played.

Kevin Mahoneys two-out single in the top of the fifth
scored David Hermida with what proved to be the winning run as
Presentation College defeated the Apprentice School 4-3 in day
two of the 2006 United States Collegiate Athletic Association
National Invitational Baseball Tournament.
Presentation had seven hits with seven guys
having a hit each, while the Builders had eight with four
players having two hits each.
Ryan Ellingson picked up the win for the
Saints going the distance and striking out three, while Ryan
Scott took the loss for Apprentice School, striking out four
in going the distance.

GAME 5 Columbia Union 9, Florida
College 6 Box
Score
Ryan Brown went 2-for-2 and drove in three runs with two in a
single to highlight a four-run fourth as Columbia Union
College held off a furious rally from host Florida College for
a 9-6 victory in game five of the tournament.
Florida College made things close scoring
four runs in the fifth, with two coming on a double from Robby
Woodke. In the sixth they added two more with an RBI double
from Kyle Ragsdale and an RBI single from Luis Rodriguez.
The Pioneers added two more in their half
of the sixth for the 9-6 win.
Jason Frey picked up the win with five
innings of work striking out six, while Matt Stephenson took
the loss for Florida College.

GAME 6 Briarcliffe College 7,
Presentation College 2 Box
Score
The Seahawks scored two runs in the fifth and three more in
the sixth as they defeated Presentation College to end the
second day of the USCAA Tournament.
James McHugh went 3-for-4, while three
other Seahawks had two hits each for Briarcliffe who went to
3-0 in the tournament.
Jared Koopman was 3-for-4 for Presentation,
while Kevin Mahoney was 2-for-2 with a double.
