Men's Baseball Player of the Week | Anthony Sayers, Southern Maine Community College

Anthony Sayers of Southern Maine Community College is the USCAA Men’s Baseball Player of the Week.  Sayers recorded a .636 batting average (7 for 11) in three games against conference-foe Central Maine Community College. Sayers walked five times, logged three extra-base hits (2 doubles and 1 triple) and a 1.000 slugging percentage. Sayers single-handedly powered the SeaWolves to the YSCC #1 seed in the first game of the doubleheader set on Sunday with a go-ahead bases-clearing double in the seventh and a save in the bottom half. Sayers pitched two innings last week and struck out five. The team is currently 23-11 for the season.
